Miguel Andres Quinones was born and raised in Boston but has been living in the North Shore area for the past eight years. Miguel's journey in becoming an advocate began at the age of 16 with Teach Boston. This was a summer job that gave him the opportunity to work with students who were in danger of repeating a grade if they did not pass their courses for the summer. He later graduated from Dorchester High School in Boston and went on to become an AmeriCorps member at City Year Boston where he served at the Condon Elementary School in South Boston. After his year of service, he helped develop and launch a national program called Citizen Schools where he worked for 8 years holding the Senior Campus Director title in his last year there. Miguel was responsible in training the national network along with leading his own enrichment program in the community of Dorchester and Brighton. Other notable places where Miguel has worked include Action for Boston Community Development, UTEC, the West Roxbury and Haverhill YMCA, and the Haverhill Public Schools.

He is passionate about working with youth and families who need help in getting resources to better their personal and professional lives. Miguel has also been contracted to lead training around youth work for other enrichment programs and has lead various music work shops that focus on self expression, music writing and performing and the History and culture of Hip Hop.
