Each year, we provide trauma and resilience-informed multicultural rape crisis services to almost 900 individuals in the Greater Lowell region. In this culturally rich community, we find that survivors of sexual violence are not only marginalized, but are often caught in the intersections of service and justice. Our staff and volunteers have expertise in reading and responding to all people of color, immigrants and refugees, LGBQ/T people, and children and youth at these intersections.
This graphic was presented by CHH Executive Director Isa Woldeguiorguis at the March meeting of the Sexual Assault Working Group of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators. The working group is intended to bring all stakeholders to the table to work on legislation and better understand the issue.
